Job description
We are a Managed Services Provider (MSP) seeking an experienced IT consultant with a well-established client in their Redmond and Seattle offices. You'll work onsite as an embedded resource - acting as the go-to technical expert for their team. At the end of the engagement, there's a real path to either continued 1099 work through us or a direct hire with the client.
What you'll be doing:
- Directly responsible for the deployment, support, and troubleshooting of end user devices such as laptops, workstations, printers, tablets, phones, and audio/video services.
- Manage and resolve help desk tickets in a timely manner.
- Provide and manage assets, standardize PC imaging and new PC setup.
- Deploy workstations and install applications on both client, servers, and lab systems as needed.
- Contact vendors as needed for troubleshooting and resolving issues.
- Create user accounts in applications as needed following administration procedures.
- Perform internal customer support with tact and appropriate prioritization.
- Participate actively in regular team standups and business meetings.
- Communicate clearly and regularly with stakeholders, including documenting work in IT ticketing system.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's Degree or technical institute degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field; or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of experience supporting IT systems and end users.
- Strong problem solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with working in a medium to large Active Directory domain environment.
- Background in the Biotech/Pharma industry preferred but not required.
- Experience with basic server and networking support and troubleshooting.
- Basic understanding of cloud services, such as Amazon Web Services is preferred.
What we're looking for:
- Expert-level knowledge of Windows desktop OS and Microsoft 365
- Working knowledge of Active Directory administration
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to implement quick workarounds
- Experience supporting executive-level end users
- Background in client-facing IT support or MSP environments
- Full-time availability for all 3 months
- Ability to travel between Redmond and Seattle offices is required
- Must be able to work on multiple users' issues across multiple technologies simultaneously.
- Must be able to work in a laboratory environment to install and troubleshoot computer component of laboratory equipment.
