Job description

We are seeking a Developer Engineer for Integrations and Cloud Development to design, build, and support enterprise integration solutions and cloud-native applications for high-visibility initiatives, including the Agent Collaboration Programs and other strategic Agile Train efforts. This role will focus heavily on MuleSoft API development and modern AWS cloud technologies, including Neptune graph databases, streams, clusters, and emerging cloud-native services that enable scalable and resilient enterprise solutions. The ideal candidate will combine strong hands-on engineering capabilities with technical leadership, helping drive integration standards, modern development practices, and mentorship across the Integrations team.

What You'll Do:

  • Design, develop, and maintain MuleSoft APIs and enterprise integration solutions that support strategic business capabilities and cross-platform connectivity.

  • Build and support AWS cloud-native solutions leveraging technologies such as Neptune graph databases, streaming architectures, distributed services, and modern event-driven patterns.

  • Collaborate with product owners, architects, and Agile teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing integration and cloud solutions aligned to enterprise standards.

  • Serve as a technical mentor and subject matter expert for the Integrations team by promoting MuleSoft best practices, reusable integration patterns, API governance, and modern engineering approaches.

  • Contribute to platform modernization efforts by evaluating and implementing cutting-edge AWS services, automation capabilities, and cloud engineering practices.

The ideal candidate brings strong experience in API development, enterprise integrations, and cloud-native engineering, with deep expertise in MuleSoft development and a passion for modern AWS technologies. Success in this role requires strong communication and collaboration skills, along with the ability to mentor and guide other engineers in integration best practices, API design standards, and scalable development patterns. We value individuals who are innovative, adaptable, and energized by solving complex enterprise integration challenges using modern cloud architectures and emerging technologies. Experience with graph databases, event-driven systems, distributed cloud services, and Agile delivery models will help position candidates for success in this highly collaborative and strategic engineering role.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Systems integration?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.

  • 10+ years professional experience in technology as a software engineer, programmer, architect, or similar role.

  • Well-seasoned integrations development, especially in Mulesoft technologies.

  • AWS Cloud development experience.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; Can work independently to solve complex technical issues.

  • Strong data, database, and data analytics skills, especially in relation to business understanding of the data and how technology solutions can evolve around this understanding.

Preferred Skills:

  • Existing knowledge of the NYL Tech and Data ecosystem a huge plus+++

  • Event driven architecture and messaging services.

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
