Senior Software Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our growing in-house engineering team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, product-driven environment and takes ownership of projects from concept through deployment.

You will help design and build scalable web and mobile applications that power our ranching technology platform. You'll work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver reliable, user-friendly solutions for customers in the agriculture industry.

This position is based in Fargo, ND. Local candidates are preferred as work must be performed on-site. No remote opportunities available., * Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using React

• Build and support cross-platform mobile applications using React Native
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend services
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to define and deliver new features
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards and best practices
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements
• Mentor junior engineers and support a culture of continuous learning

Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and modern frameworks such as React
• Experience with state management tools (Redux, Context API, etc.)
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs
• Familiarity with mobile app development for iOS and Android
• Experience using Git or other version control systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with React Native
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest or Cypress
• Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Background or interest in agriculture, IoT, or data visualization
• Open-source contributions or personal project portfolio

Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
