Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive IT Generalist to join our team and drive the seamless operation of our technology infrastructure and help us grow the company. In this role, you will be the go-to expert for a wide range of IT support functions, ensuring that hardware, software, and network systems operate efficiently and securely. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work across diverse IT domains, contribute to infrastructure improvements, and deliver exceptional customer service to internal users., * Provide comprehensive technical support for hardware, software, and network issues across all company systems.

  • Troubleshoot software problems related to operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux, ensuring quick resolution to minimize downtime.
  • Manage computer hardware assets including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
  • Administer computer networks including LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), DNS (Domain Name System), TCP/IP protocols, firewalls, and network security measures like Meraki devices.
  • Support server environments including Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft Windows Active Directory for user account management and permissions.
  • Utilize tools like SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), GPO (Group Policy Objects), Jira, and Help Desk platforms to streamline incident tracking and resolution processes.
  • Perform routine maintenance on IT infrastructure components such as switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points to ensure optimal performance.
  • Assist with the deployment and configuration of new hardware and software solutions while adhering to best practices in IT support.
  • Collaborate with network administrators on network administration tasks including TCP/IP analysis, DNS management, and LAN troubleshooting.
  • Support mobile device management (MDM) for smartphones and tablets used within the organization.
  • Communicate effectively with end-users by providing clear guidance and technical assistance in a professional manner.
  • Assistance with website, customer websites, SEO, and Social Media

Requirements

Do you have experience in macOS?, * We are a small company, we are looking for someone to wear several hats.

  • Proven experience in providing IT support with a focus on desktop support and help desk functions.
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows (especially Windows 10/11), macOS, and Linux environments.
  • Solid understanding of computer networking concepts such as TCP/IP protocols, DNS management, LAN/WAN architecture, VPNs, firewalls, and network security best practices.
  • Hands-on experience managing computer hardware components and peripherals.
  • Familiarity with enterprise tools like SCCM for software deployment; GPO for policy management; BMC Remedy or ServiceNow for ticketing; Jira for issue tracking; Active Directory for user management; DNS configuration; Meraki networking equipment; and Cisco TCP/IP protocols.
  • Excellent analysis skills to diagnose complex technical issues quickly and accurately.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively assist users at all levels of technical proficiency.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
