Job description
We are seeking a high-performing Mid-Level BI Developer with strong expertise in Looker and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support the development and delivery of modern, AI-powered analytics solutions.
In this role, you will contribute to transforming legacy BI ecosystems into cloud-native, intelligent analytics platforms, while working closely with senior architects, leads, and business stakeholders.
The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in data modeling, dashboard development, and cloud analytics, along with a passion for emerging technologies such as Generative AI and Conversational Analytics. You will play a critical role in developing scalable, governed analytics solutions and enabling self-service data capabilities for business users.
Your Role
- Design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, and data models using Looker to deliver actionable business insights
- Build and optimize LookML semantic layers for performance, scalability, and reusable analytics
- Support the implementation of modern BI architecture on GCP, leveraging BigQuery and other cloud-native services
- Collaborate with senior team members to integrate AI-driven analytics features, including Conversational AI (e.g., Google Gemini)
- Assist in migrating reports and dashboards from legacy platforms (SAP BO, Cognos, Tableau) to Looker
- Participate in the development of data pipelines and transformations to ensure high-quality, reliable datasets
- Apply data governance, security, and access control mechanisms, including Role-Level Security (RLS)
- Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Contribute to performance tuning and optimization of queries, dashboards, and data models
- Support CI/CD processes and version control for BI development artifacts
- Stay current with evolving BI, cloud, and AI technologies and recommend improvements
Requirements
- 4-6 years of experience in Business Intelligence / Data Analytics development
- Hands-on experience with Looker and LookML development
- Experience working on cloud-based analytics platforms (GCP preferred)
- Exposure to end-to-end BI lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment
Technical Skills
Modern BI Platforms
- Looker (required)
- Tableau / Power BI (nice to have)

- Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- BigQuery
- Basic exposure to Databricks (preferred)
Data Modeling & Engineering
- Strong understanding of Star Schema & Dimensional Modeling
- Experience building and maintaining semantic layers (LookML)
- SQL (advanced proficiency required)
AI & Emerging Capabilities
- Basic knowledge of AI/ML concepts and Generative AI use cases
- Exposure to Prompt Engineering or tools like Google Gemini (preferred)
Legacy BI (Migration Exposure Preferred)

Benefits & conditions
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is:$54,000 to $130,000.
Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.
The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.
In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
