Distribution Line Designer

The Flagger plays a critical role in maintaining safety around active construction and paving sites by directing the flow of vehicles and pedestrians. This position helps construction crews and motorists avoid hazards associated with roadwork while supporting the setup and maintenance of safe, compliant traffic control zones., * Set up temporary work zones, including placing warning signs, traffic cones, stop/slow paddles, and rumble strips according to safety and traffic control standards.

• Maintain traffic control setups throughout the workday, adjusting signs and devices as needed to respond to changing site conditions.
• Remove all temporary work zone equipment at the end of each project or shift, ensuring the roadway returns to normal operation safely.
• Guide vehicle traffic safely through and around construction and paving areas, using clear hand signals and stop/slow paddles.
• Direct pedestrians safely through or around the work area, ensuring they avoid active construction zones and potential hazards.
• Communicate effectively with construction crews to coordinate traffic flow and ensure work activities and traffic movements remain aligned.
• Monitor traffic and site conditions continuously and report any unsafe situations or incidents immediately.
• Support general construction activities related to concrete and paving work as needed, while maintaining focus on traffic safety., This role is primarily outdoors on active paving and construction sites within approximately a 30-40 mile radius of the Villa Rica area. You will work around heavy equipment, moving vehicles, and varying weather conditions, requiring consistent attention to safety and awareness of your surroundings. Work involves standing for long periods, handling traffic control devices, and moving between different job sites as projects require., Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, for all positions located in the city and county of San Francisco, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.

Teamwork Construction Traffic Flow Communication Detail Oriented Heavy Equipment Traffic Control Health Advocacy Road Traffic Controls Flagger Certification Artificial Intelligence Traffic Control Devices, * Valid Flagger Certification, with the ability to perform traffic control duties in compliance with applicable standards.

• Experience in traffic control or traffic management in construction or paving environments.
• Ability to safely use and manage traffic control devices such as warning signs, traffic cones, stop/slow paddles, and rumble strips.
• Strong situational awareness and attention to detail when working around moving vehicles and heavy equipment.
• Clear communication skills to direct motorists, pedestrians, and coordinate with construction crews.
• Ability to work reliably in outdoor environments for extended periods.
• Willingness and ability to travel to job sites within approximately a 30-40 mile radius of the Villa Rica area.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience supporting construction, concrete, or paving projects.
• Familiarity with best practices in work zone safety and traffic management.
• Ability to remain calm and professional while directing traffic in high-stress or high-volume situations.
• Strong teamwork skills and willingness to support different crews and projects as needed.

This is a Contract position based out of Villa Rica, GA. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $21.00/hr.
