Job description

Novicap is seeking a Data Scientist to join our team in Madrid. In this role, you will monitor credit and fraud levels, improve approval rates, and automate decision-making processes.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with data science tools and techniques. You will work closely with the Head of Data and the Engineering team across Spain, contributing directly to innovative, customer-centric products., * Monitor and maintain target credit and fraud levels across all products.

  • Continuously improve approval rates while staying within defined risk appetite.
  • Increase automation across products, both in decision-making and process execution.
  • Introduce and leverage alternative data sources for innovative products.

This includes short-term credit (factoring, supply chain finance and loans) and payment automation solutions. With offices in Barcelona and Madrid, we are currently looking for a Data Scientist who wants to join our team. What will you do?

Who will you be working with?

You will report directly to the Head of Data and work closely with the rest of the Engineering team in Barcelona and the rest of Spain. You are the right fit if you have:

  • Strong experience with pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, matplotlib/seaborn, Plotly, statsmodels, etc.
  • Hands-on experience implementing supervised, unsupervised, and probabilistic models.
  • Experience translating models into real products or automated decision
