What You'll Be Doing:

  • Leading the coordination and execution of all technical activities throughout the lifecycle of a sales opportunity, e.g. technical discovery, negotiation of technical success criteria, product presentations, demonstrations and evaluations.
  • As a credible hands-on expert in the customer's application, you will be working with customers to better understand their product development requirements and what they need to improve their performance metrics. You will be addressing application-specific design and simulation requirements by utilizing the relevant Ansys product technologies and platforms that best meet the customer's needs. You will internalize the Synopsys value proposition and convince the customer of the compelling reasons to use Ansys tools.
  • Supporting the development of differentiating simulation solutions using the Ansys platform and our products; implement our ons into your customers' design workflows. Expand your expertise and become a recognized expert in your field of application.
  • Collaborating with Synopsys Product Development to translate customer requirements into new product features; participate in the testing of new Ansys product releases, develop application best practices

Requirements

Synopsys, Inc. in Madrid is looking for an Application Engineer specializing in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and multiphase flow simulation. You will lead technical activities, work closely with customers to understand their requirements, and support the development of innovative simulation solutions. Ideal candidates possess a relevant degree and experience in engineering software environments, demonstrating knowledge of Ansys tools and effective customer engagement. Join a collaborative team focused on driving technical excellence and customer satisfaction., * 3+ years of experience in an engineering software environment (MS), 0 years (PhD).

  • Experience in application engineering or consulting roles related to engineering software.

  • Knowledge of multiphase fluid modeling methods in an industrial setting., Multiphase Flow Simulation Technical Presentations Problem Solving Customer Engagement, * Bachelor, Master or PhD degree in Mechanical, Aerospace engineering or related field.

  • Minimum years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: MS+3, PhD+0 (MS+6 or PhD+3 preferred).

  • 2 years of experience in application engineering, customer support, or consulting services type customer facing roles using engineering software.

  • Demonstrated use of relevant Ansys software or knowledge of other commercial CAE software packages.

  • In depth knowledge of one or more Multiphase Fluid Modelling methods (VOF, Eulerian, DPM, SPH, Wall Flim, etc.) in an industrial setting.

  • Solid understanding of engineering principles related to fluid dynamics and simulation.

  • Ability to create and deliver high quality technical presentations and training materials.Experience collaborating with customers and internal teams to solve complex engineering challenges.

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of time.
