Job description
UST España & Latam in Galicia seeks a highly skilled Snowflake Data Engineer to design and optimize scalable data solutions on the Snowflake platform. Responsibilities include developing robust data models and implementing ELT/ETL pipelines while ensuring data quality and governance.
Ideal candidates have strong experience with Snowflake, advanced SQL skills, and programming knowledge in Python. The position offers various benefits, including 23 days of annual leave, health care plans, and options for remote work., * Design and develop data models and pipelines using Snowflake.

Conocimientos
Snowflake SQL optimization Data warehousing Python Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), * Design and develop robust data models and scalable data pipelines using Snowflake.
- Implement ELT/ETL pipelines using Snowflake features such as Streams, Tasks, and Snowpipe.
- Optimize Snowflake performance through clustering, query tuning, and cost optimisation.
- Build and maintain data ingestion pipelines from multiple sources (batch and near-real-time).
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across platforms.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and downstream teams.
- Support production issues, root-cause analysis, and performance improvements.
- Adhere to security, compliance, and data privacy standards.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, including modeling and performance tuning.
- Advanced SQL skills, including analytical queries and window functions.
- Experience with ETL/ELT frameworks and cloud platforms., * Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake (data modeling, SQL optimization, performance tuning).

- Strong experience in data warehousing concepts.

Good to Have
- Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, ADF, Glue, etc.).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for data platforms.
- Exposure to reporting/BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.).
- Experience in financial services / asset management domain.
