You will be part of the team responsible for operating one of the largest and most complex hosting platforms in Europe.
Your mission will be to ensure the stability, performance, and evolution of the Stretch platform, working directly on critical production systems and contributing to the continuous improvement of a highly distributed infrastructure.
This is a strongly technical role with hands-on impact at scale, where your work will directly influence service quality and platform evolution.
You will collaborate closely with Hosting Technology teams and other web hosting teams within IONOS, with frequent interaction with international colleagues-particularly in Germany-to consolidate knowledge of existing systems. Responsibilities
- Operation, maintenance, and evolution of large-scale Linux infrastructure.
- Advanced (Level 3) support for complex platform incidents.
- Automation of processes using scripting (BASH, Python) and infrastructure tools.
- Operation and management of distributed storage systems (Ceph).
- Monitoring and analysis of the platform using observability tools (Grafana and similar).
- Continuous improvement of system architecture and stability.
- Collaboration with international teams to absorb knowledge from legacy systems.
- Participation in on-call rotation.
Requirements
The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of Linux administration experience, strong BASH and Python skills, and expertise with Ceph storage. A hybrid working model is offered, allowing flexibility in hours and locations., * 3+ years of experience in Linux system administration.
- Strong scripting skills in BASH and Python.
- Hands-on experience operating Ceph storage clusters in production environments.
- Experience with configuration and automation tools., * +3 years of experience in Linux system administration.
