Job description
Due to increasing demand for our consultancy services, we are seeking a Senior Consultant with expertise in database development, management, process and data mapping, and data analysis to join our specialized Turner & Townsend Digital Consulting team.
This role will involve supporting a wide range of projects, from small-scale to large-scale, and requires a candidate with a proven track record in delivering data and analytics solutions.
You will join a team based in our Madrid, Spain office with responsibility for managing and growing our portfolio of clients across Infrastructure and Real Estate sectors. This is an exciting time to join a recently formed and rapidly growing team. You will have a diverse and interesting responsibilities including client facing consultancy, business generation and people development. You will instinctively recognize opportunity to drive productivity and improve our clients' outcomes. Responsibilities
- Lead a project team consisting of analysts & consultants on a range of tasks.
- Build dimensional models from a variety of raw data.
- Build dashboards and visualisations using a variety of tools, primarily Power BI.
- Undertake exploratory and critical analysis of data visualised.
- Lead client engagements to capture data, analysis and modelling requirements.
- Identify and run different business and model scenarios.
- Develop end-to-end data processes and data models.
- Design data solutions in collaboration with clients and their IT teams.
- Support client's use of model outputs for decision making.
- Test solutions and models against requirements.
- Conduct assurance checks of implemented solutions.
- Prepare written project communication materials, including formal project progress and other reports.
- Prepare presentation and other materials for client pitches and business generation purposes.
- Develop project execution plans and lead end-to-end project delivery with Commission Directors.
Requirements
Ideal candidates will have strong experience in data visualization, particularly with Power BI, and a degree in a relevant analytic subject. - Strong understanding of business intelligence and reporting architecture.
- Microsoft certified Power BI Data Analyst Associate., Degree in an analytic subject (e.g. Maths, Geography, Engineering, Economics), * Microsoft certified professional - Power BI Data Analyst Associate.
- Strong understanding of business intelligence and reporting architecture.
- Proficiency/hands-on experience in data visualisation software such as Power BI and Tableau.
- Degree in an analytic subject, e.g. Maths, Geography, Engineering, Economics, etc. - desirable.
- Good analytics and numeracy skills with the ability to understand and present data in different representations.
- Experience in data warehousing and data modelling.
- Experience in Azure platform (e.g. Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Blob Storage).
- Ability to programme in languages such as DAX, Python, VBA and SQL are essential.
- Strong understanding of dimensions, measures, metadata & schemas.
- Consulting and business analysis skills (e.g. MoSCoW method) to understand clients' requirements.
