An established industry player is seeking a skilled System Administrator to oversee and optimize their IT infrastructure. If you thrive in a fast-paced setting and are passionate about technology, this opportunity is perfect for you., A System Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining an organization's IT infrastructure, focusing on servers, storage, operating systems, and data protection. The role ensures that systems operate efficiently and securely to meet business needs. Key Responsibilities

  1. Operating System Administration

  2. Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) on servers and desktops.

  3. Manage system updates, security patches, and software installations.

  4. Monitor system performance and resolve OS-related issues.

  5. Storage, Backup, and Recovery

  6. Manage storage systems such as SAN, NAS, and cloud storage.

  7. Implement backup strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.

  8. Design and execute disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in case of system failures.

  9. Hardware Support

  10. Maintain and troubleshoot physical hardware, including servers, desktops, and peripherals.

  11. Manage/perform server hardware setup, replacement, software and hardware upgrades, including security patching.

  12. Oversee hardware procurement and configuration for organizational needs.

  13. Security Management

  14. Enforce security protocols, including access controls, encryption, and monitoring.

  15. Identify vulnerabilities and apply patches to protect systems from security threats.

  16. Monitor logs and system activity for any unusual or malicious behavior.

  17. Architecture and Design Support

  18. Support all architecture and design changes.

  19. Perform implementation activities and execute testing tasks related to disaster recovery of EPO (Enterprise Policy Orchestrator).

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in system administration is required.
  • LINUX administration certification and MCSA are preferred.

  3. SAN administration certification or relevant certifications specific to EPO technologies.

Skills Technical Skills

  1. Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS).
  2. Expertise in storage management and backup solutions.
  3. Proficiency in scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
  4. Hardware troubleshooting and maintenance.

Experience

  1. 3-5 years of experience in system administration.
  2. Experience in a customer-facing role is required.

Operational Framework

  1. Familiarity with Operational Services Framework 2 (OSF 2) and its technical conditions.
