Job description
The vehicle configuration team, within the Electrical & Electronic Architecture department, is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and traceability of all vehicle configuration data throughout the product lifecycle. It manages baseline configurations, evaluates engineering changes, and ensures compliance with internal standards as well as customer and regulatory requirements. This role requires strong analytical skills, a high level of attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, quality, and program management).
Key Responsibilities Configuration Management & Control
Establish, maintain, and monitor baseline configurations across all phases of the vehicle program Review and validate engineering change requests (ECRs) Manage configuration management documentation Ensure alignment between engineering, manufacturing, and service configurations
Program Support & Governance
Support program management in planning and executing configuration control processes Prepare configuration status reports, dashboards, KPIs, and risk assessments Participate in Configuration Control Boards (CCB) to monitor product diversity
Data Integrity & Traceability
Ensure full traceability between requirements, product configurations, and engineering changes
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
1 to 3 years of experience in electrical architecture design or electrical engineering Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering Strong technical knowledge of electrical/electronic architecture design Good understanding of the automotive development process Strong communication and presentation skills Understanding of typical vehicle electrical and electronic architectures and associated development processes Strong system-level analytical skills Fluency in English is required; knowledge of another European language is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly and precisely convey complex topics Strong technical knowledge in electrical/electronic functions and feature design Good knowledge of applicable standards and regulations
