Job description
Responsible for developing a custom software product utilising open-source software to support and improve processes for BT's Global Security Operation Centres. The primary function of the role holder will be to engage with our internal teams and develop their user stories into systematic solutions within our various platforms. This is to be done in a timely manner abiding to project deadlines. The role holder will also leverage their existing knowledge and skills in order to suggest improvements to both the processes and the solutions we support., * Diagnose and resolve complex issues or business challenges where the solution may not be clear, or process may not already exist.
- Consulting with internal customers and transforming sometimes ambiguous requirements to technical requirements.
- Getting involved in sprint planning, creating tickets, and managing own workload
- Deliver technical support for maintaining and improving the integrity of the customer's security information processes and systems.
Requirements
Do you have experience in UX?, We are looking for someone with a passion for software development and problem-solving; someone diligent and thoughtful. Required
- A degree in Computer Science, equivalent commercial experience, or demonstrable self-taught expertise in software development is required.
- Source Control Experience (Git)
It would be helpful to have experience/expertise in the following however it is not necessary. Preferred
- Cyber Security Background
- Python
- Backend Experience (Ideally with Django/FastAPI)
- Frontend Experience (JavaScript/TypeScript)
- UML and Design Experience
