- Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, peripherals, and other hardware components to optimize performance.
- Troubleshoot operating systems such as Windows and macOS, along with software applications including Microsoft Office suite and other productivity tools.
- Manage computer networks by configuring LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), firewalls, and other network devices to ensure secure connectivity.
- Support IT infrastructure maintenance tasks such as updating firmware, managing user accounts through tools like BMC Remedy or ServiceNow, and monitoring system health.
- Assist with software troubleshooting for various applications and operating systems; escalate complex issues to specialized teams when necessary.
- Maintain detailed documentation of incidents, resolutions, and hardware inventories using Jira or similar ticketing systems to ensure transparency and accountability.
Requirements
Do you have experience in macOS support?, * Proven experience in IT support or desktop support roles with a strong understanding of computer hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
- Familiarity with computer networking concepts such as LAN setup, VPN configuration, firewalls, and network security best practices.
- Experience managing computer management tools like BMC Remedy or ServiceNow; knowledge of Jira is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
- Strong customer service orientation with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Knowledge of help desk procedures and ticketing systems to track incidents effectively.
