- Maintain and enhance an in-house risk analysis and probabilistic reliability model
- Develop and support applications using C# and Python
- Perform data analytics, risk modeling, and economic evaluations
- Analyze large datasets and develop recommendations for infrastructure investment decisions
- Support transmission and substation asset management initiatives
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and project management teams
- Assist with long-term capital planning, forecasting, and investment strategy development
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and business cases
Requirements
Do you have experience in Software engineering?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, We are seeking an Associate Engineer with strong C#, Python, analytics, and engineering problem-solving skills to support the development and maintenance of an in-house risk analysis and probabilistic reliability model used for utility asset management and capital planning.
Candidates with experience in the electric utility industry, particularly transmission, substation, power systems, or asset management environments, are highly preferred. This role combines software development, data analytics, engineering analysis, and investment strategy to support critical infrastructure decisions., * Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
- 1-3+ years of relevant experience in:
- C# Programming
- Python Development
- Data Analytics
- Risk Modeling
- Software Development
- Engineering Analysis
- Experience with SQL, MS Access, Excel, and data management tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
Preferred
- Electrical utility, power systems, transmission, or substation experience
- Experience with probabilistic modeling and reliability analysis
- Knowledge of asset management, economic analysis, or capital planning
- Experience with R, SQL, Power Systems, Transmission, or Substation Infrastructure
Preferred Industry Experience
- Experience in the electric utility, transmission, substation, power generation, or energy industry strongly preferred
- Familiarity with transmission and substation assets, electric grid infrastructure, asset management, reliability engineering, or capital planning
- Understanding of utility operations, risk assessment, reliability analysis, or infrastructure investment decision-making
- Experience supporting electric utility engineering, planning, operations, or asset management organizations is a plus
