Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Programmer/Machinist to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and programming CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision components that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise in CAD/CAM software, technical drawings, and machining processes will ensure efficient production while maintaining safety and quality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing equipment and contribute to innovative projects in a fast-paced environment., * Program CNC milling machines using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software such as SolidWorks to develop precise machining instructions.
- Interpret complex blueprints, schematics, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical drawings to determine machining requirements.
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct precision measurements using bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other precision measuring instruments to verify part accuracy.
- Maintain detailed documentation of machining processes, tool setups, and inspection results for quality control purposes.
- Troubleshoot machining issues by analyzing tooling conditions, machine parameters, and schematics to minimize downtime.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency and reduce waste throughout the machining process.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Tooling?, * Proven experience operating CNC machinery with a strong understanding of CNC programming languages like G-code/M-code.
- Proficiency in CAD software including SolidWorks for designing parts and creating tool paths.
- Knowledge of GD&T standards for precise measurement and quality assurance of machined components.
- Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM), coordinate measuring machines (CMM), bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments.
- Mechanical knowledge related to tooling setup, geometry calculations, schematics interpretation, and schematic diagrams.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and translate them into effective machining operations.
- Strong math skills including geometry and measurements essential for high-precision manufacturing processes.
