Job description
In this role, as part of Developer Services Software Engineering team, you will develop, analyze, design, build, and implement infrastructure and software solutions for the enterprise, ensuring that the infrastructure and software solution (the cloud network, resources, software, tools, and related observability) is sufficiently robust, scalable, resilient and efficient to enable delivery and ongoing operation. You will research enterprise problems, orchestrate cloud installations, develop new features to existing software products that serve the development community. You will own, deliver, manage, and support software products and services while evaluating new technologies to evolve the platform.

- Acts as advisor to management and key external partners on broad-ranging projects
Responsibilities
- Guides decisions about Cloud Infrastructure & Software upgrades, refreshes, enhancements and replacement.
- Leads or supports incident response and troubleshooting efforts in complex implementations and across multiple domains
- Participates in continuous improvement efforts spanning multiple functional domains and helps shape new standards
- Identifies non-obvious relationships and anomalies often overlooked by others
- Detects and resolves issues before they impact the broader team or platform
- Draws logical, objective conclusions from data and validates root causes and contributing factors
- Mentors other team members
- Provides feedback and coaching to others with management responsibility
- Participates in interviews for new team members
- Leads teams on large, technically complex initiatives
- Drives alignment across teams and stakeholders, even when perspectives differ
- Holds associates and teams accountable for adhering to engineering practices and policies

- Applies strong knowledge of the tools and platforms used to test, automate, monitor, and manage infrastructure components, Required:
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND 5+ years of total relevant work experience
- Strong experience of the software development lifecycle process and tools and services that support the enterprise
Preferred:
- Strong experience of one or more cloud infrastructure components, including deployment and maintenance
- Good knowledge of core infrastructure capabilities, including operating systems, networking, identity, and access
- Good knowledge of tooling used to test and manage software and infrastructure components
- Experience engineering and supporting cloud-based infrastructure and application platforms, preferably in AWS, including products and services related to the Software Development Lifecycle and compute, storage, networking, security, and observability
- Experience with infrastructure as code and automation tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or similar technologies
- Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and modern software delivery tooling such as GitLab, Artifactory and/or similar platforms
- Familiarity supporting containerized and distributed application environments using Kubernetes, Docker, or related technologies
- Familiarity with AI/ML platform infrastructure, data pipelines, or engineering patterns that support model development, deployment, and monitoring in enterprise environments
- Strong understanding of reliability, resiliency, and operational practices, including monitoring, logging, alerting, incident response, and root cause analysis
- Experience partnering across engineering, security, architecture, and product teams to deliver scalable, secure, and well-governed solutions
- Demonstrated ability to influence technical direction, establish engineering standards, and mentor other engineers in complex delivery environments
- Working knowledge of secure engineering practices and controls, including identity and access management, secrets management, vulnerability remediation, and policy compliance
- Experience working in highly regulated environments with strong attention to risk management, governance, and audit readiness
- Ability to effectively and articulately communicate highly technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Stays ahead of best-of-breed technologies

$121,000.00 - $206,000.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers $133,000.00 - $227,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C. $151,000.00 - $258,000.00 for the location of: New York, California
Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual's relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
