Requirements

o Experienced in enterprise technology leadership and organizational modernization o Skilled in cybersecurity, ERP systems, GIS, infrastructure planning, and software integration o Able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders o Committed to building collaborative relationships and delivering exceptional customer service., o Bachelor's degree in Business or Public Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field o Six years of current IT project management, network administration, and technical support experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience o Valid Texas Driver's License o Demonstrated ability to lead enterprise technology operations in a complex organization Preferred: + o Experience in municipal government or public sector technology leadership o Experience with ERP systems, enterprise software implementation, and systems integration o GIS experience and familiarity with public safety technologies o Microsoft, Cisco, Oracle, or other professional IT certifications upon hire o Advanced leadership, strategic planning, and organizational change management experience

The City has a strong Financial Management Policy that guides the operation and delivery of quality City services, contributes to excellent AA+ and Aa1 bond ratings, and maintains an unassigned fund balance reserve in the General Fund equal to 28% of current year budgeted expenditures. The City of Waco has more than 1,600 employees and a total operating budget of over $400 million.
