Network Administrator

• Assist with hardware and software problems across the server or network infrastructure.
• Manage complex project plans.
• Point of escalation for all helpdesk tickets.
• Assist in monitoring the network performance in order to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and to determine where changes will need to be made in the future.
• Assist the Engineers in managing a multi-facility network environment, including the maintenance, backup, installation and trouble shooting of a Local Area Network and Wide Area Network.
• Assist in maintaining network servers by troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Install and maintain all of the systems with the latest security and patch releases.
• Evaluate, Implement and maintain all Personal Computers hardware and software applications.
• Assist in managing backup application software, backup of network files and antivirus updates.
• Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting the Cisco voice and data environment.
• Provide on-call after-hours support for all systems which may need attention. The rotation schedule will determine the 24 hours/7 day weekly coverage.
• Recommend changes to improve system and network configurations.
• Complete other IT duties as assigned.
• Deliver high level of quality service (both internally & externally), including timely & professional response to Member Service areas.

Do you have experience in Telephone systems?, * BS/BA college degree in an information technology discipline.

• If no degree, 5 years relevant work experience.

• 6 months related experience.

Preferred Education, Certifications & Experience (addition to above):

• Microsoft Technology Associate Certificate
• A+ Certification
• CCENT Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician Certification

Knowledge and Job Performance Requirements:

• Understanding of Cisco Network and Voice equipment
• Knowledge of PC software and hardware troubleshooting
• Understanding of Microsoft products: Server, Exchange, Active Directory
• VMWare ESX System Administration
• Dell EqualLogic SAN management
• Ability for critical thinking and problem solving
• Server application management and troubleshooting
• Consistent accuracy and consistently meeting goals and timelines
• Good communication skills (written and verbal), strong work ethic and self-motivated.
