Job description
We are seeking a Data Governance Engineer with strong experience in Microsoft Purview and enterprise data protection frameworks. This role will focus on implementing and scaling Data Loss Prevention (DLP), compliance governance, and data governance capabilities across the organization.
Responsibilities

Implement and manage Microsoft Purview capabilities across data governance, compliance, and risk management

Design and enforce Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies across enterprise data environments

Support compliance governance initiatives including data classification, retention policies, and regulatory alignment

Establish data governance frameworks, including data cataloging, lineage, and metadata management

Partner with security, legal, and data teams to ensure proper handling of sensitive data

Monitor and audit data usage to ensure policy adherence and identify risks

Support continuous improvement of governance and compliance processes
Requirements
- GRC Background at a midlevel 5 to 8 years' experience
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview or CyberArk
? Experience putting Data labeling, data governance, data protection in place
? Experience configuring within the tool (already implemented)
? Interview stakeholders to see how they are using their data - classify the information.
- Strong experience with DLP (Data Loss Prevention) tools and implementation
? Purview Azure fabric
? Scanning capabilities of Purview

Background in compliance governance (HIPAA)
