We are seeking a highly motivated QA Engineer who takes end-to-end ownership of quality-from early requirement validation through testing, defect resolution, and final delivery. This role goes beyond executing test cases; you will play a key role in enhancing overall product quality, expanding test coverage, and driving automation initiatives to improve long-term efficiency.
In this position, you will collaborate closely with Product to understand and define end-to-end client workflows, ensuring comprehensive validation for complex Wealth workflows that span multiple systems and integration, and with a focus on strengthening automation coverage.
The ideal candidate is analytical, curious, and eager to continuously learn. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity, proactively identifying defects and concerns, and clearly communicating findings with confidence. You take initiative, think beyond the obvious paths, and are capable of effectively demonstrating completed functionality and quality outcomes to stakeholders.
What you will be responsible for
As Software QA Engineer, Officer, you will
- Collaborate closely with the Scrum Master, Product Owner, Architects, Business Analysts, Developers, and cross-functional team members to deliver high-quality software
- Create and maintain clear, comprehensive test plans in Xray for each sprint
- Log, track, and triage defects with well-documented, reproducible steps
- Expand and enhance automated test coverage to improve efficiency and scalability
- Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot automated test failures
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
- Validate acceptance criteria during grooming sessions to ensure testability and clarity
- Proactively identify gaps, edge cases, and potential risks early in the development lifecycle
- Present and demo completed QA stories during team and department demos, effectively highlighting functionality and test coverage
- Configure and manage automated test environments using tools such as Jenkins or TeamCity
- Ensure Jira stories and defects meet the Definition of Done (DoD) criteria
- Actively participate in agile ceremonies, including grooming, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Guide and mentor junior staff
Requirements
Do you have experience in Version control systems?, * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience, * Minimum of 9 years of experience in software testing within a process-driven technology environment
- Exposure to financial services and/or investment management domains
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, including functional, regression, and integration testing
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Proven experience with test automation (UI and/or API)
- Proficiency in SQL for data validation and analysis
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus
- Ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently
- Ability to translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical test plans
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate findings
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Team player with high energy and a positive attitude
- Strong sense of ownership with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter who can ramp up independently and be able to educate team members on end user workflows
