Job description
Network Operations Center (NOC) Support Engineers oversee the configuration, installation, and monitoring of all critical elements of Ainsworth's server-based gaming and progressive systems. This role requires advanced knowledge in the configuration of hardware, software, network, and storage solutions., * Infrastructure Management: Assembles server and progressive hardware (installation of memory, CPU, hard drives). Installs, configures, and maintains Windows Server environments, Microsoft SQL databases, and network architecture including switches and firewalls.
- Technical Support: Identifies, analyzes, and documents defects, field concerns, and performance errors. Reproduces field issues in test/lab environments to identify root causes and provides on-call 24/7 support when designated.
- Deployment & Documentation: Assists with the setup, testing, and deployment of new technology solutions and identifies process improvement initiatives. Creates and maintains documentation related to processes, procedures, and policies.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows support?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's degree in Network Operation & Security, IT, or Computer Science.
- Minimum 2 years related work experience.
Knowledge & Skills
- Advanced Windows Server administration, Active Directory, virtualization.
- Basic PowerShell understanding.
PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Sitting: Primary work involves monitoring systems and scripting from a workstation.
- Keyboarding: Essential for server administration and coding.
- Lifting/Carrying: Required when assembling server hardware weighing 26 up to 50 lbs.
- Decision Making: Involves critical decisions regarding live server environments.
Additional Requirements
- The successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada gaming registration.
- Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time.
