Job description

  • Perform AC/DC electrical measurements to validate timing, power, functionality and reliability on new designs

  • Perform digital logic testing through Scan/ATPG patterns across temperature, voltage and frequency

  • Test analog circuits (sense amplifiers, charge pumps, voltage references) across voltage, temperature, and process variations

  • Develop Python, C/C++, or LabVIEW scripts to automate test equipment, data collection, and analysis

  • Operate lab equipment: oscilloscopes, curve tracers, parametric analyzers, SMUs, and precision instruments

Data Analysis & Design Optimization

  • Analyze characterization data using statistical tools (JMP, Spotfire, Python) to identify design sensitivities and performance trends

  • Correlate silicon results with circuit simulations to provide actionable design feedback

  • Establish performance benchmarks and test limits for new IP designs

  • Generate technical reports and present findings to development teams

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Problem Solving

  • Work with business units to qualify new memory IP for next-generation SoC integration

  • Partner with circuit designers and process development teams to root cause performance issues and optimize designs

  • Collaborate with failure analysis teams to investigate and resolve technical challenges

  • Support IP qualification for reliability requirements (retention, endurance, cycling)

  • Provide technical documentation to enable customer design integration

  • Help transition qualified IP from development to production readiness

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or related

  • Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA or higher

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in analog and digital circuit analysis, transistor-level operation and device physics

  • Knowledge of analog/mixed-signal circuits (op-amps, comparators, references)

  • Familiarity with SPICE simulation (Cadence, Synopsys or equivalent)

  • Understanding of memory architectures (SRAM, DRAM, Flash) and its operation

  • Understanding of semiconductor physics and fabrication processes

  • Programming proficiency in Python, C/C++, or equivalent

  • Data analysis skills - ability to extract insights from large datasets

  • Familiarity with statistical analysis

  • Lab experience with oscilloscopes, power supplies, or measurement equipment

  • Semiconductor characterization experience (coursework, research, internships)

  • Statistical analysis tools (JMP, Spotfire) or any data visualization tool experience

  • Analytical problem solver with attention to detail

  • Strong technical communicator (written and verbal)

  • Collaborative team player across multiple functions

  • Self-driven and adaptable to dynamic environments
