Job description
The Senior Data Engineer will lead data engineering initiatives for high-priority projects. This position requires extensive expertise in data architecture and system engineering, supporting sophisticated mission systems within dynamic environments. This is a hybrid role located in Fort Bragg, NC with the option for flex hours., As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing, implementing, and managing advanced data pipelines and architecture to support high-level government objectives. Working directly on classified projects, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and securing data flows and employing your expertise in cloud-based solutions and data engineering tools., * Design, develop, and implement data pipelines and ETL processes using Python, Airflow and at time NIFI to support secure and efficient data processing
- Develop scalable micro-services for data handling and transformation, suitable for high-volume data ingestion and processing
- Curate, cleanse, and secure data to support accurate and safe data transfers across multiple classification levels
- Develop solutions to support both batch and streaming data processing
- Integrate data pipelines with data lakes, warehouses, and databases, enhancing data accessibility and efficiency
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver mission-critical data requirements
- Ensure adherence to data handling best practices and compliance with security requirements when working with classified datasets
- Employ data visualization techniques to make data more accessible and actionable for mission teams.
Requirements
- Python
- Regular Expression scripting
- SQL: Preference for PostgreSQL and TSQL.
- Git
- Docker
- Trino
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and Helm charts.
- Deploying software in Kubernetes with Argo.
- Airflow
- NIFI
- ElasticSearch and AWS OpenSearch
- Working in a Linux environment.
- Database optimization
- Graph database management familiarity, * Clearance: Current DoW TS/SCI Clearance is required. Candidates without this clearance will not be considered.
- Experience: 8+ years of related experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; Advanced degrees are a plus.
- Certifications: Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, GCP
- Role requirements: Hybrid work environment with 3 days on site in Fort Bragg and two days WFH
- Due to US Government Contract Requirements, only US Citizens are eligible for this role, Years of Experience

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
