Job description

The Associate Systems Administrator serves as the primary on-site IT resource for the Fullerton, CA location, delivering responsive, customer-focused helpdesk and technical support while assisting in the administration of core IT systems and infrastructure. This role is responsible for diagnosing and resolving end-user issues, managing hardware and software deployments, and ensuring reliable operation of end-user technology across the site and remotely for other locations as needed.

Key responsibilities include managing and resolving support tickets, installing and maintaining workstations, printers, and mobile devices, and performing system imaging, moves/adds/changes, and equipment lifecycle tasks. basic network connectivity, maintains accurate asset inventories and documentation, and ensures endpoint security and updates are current., * End User Support

  • Serve as the primary on-site IT contact for the Fullerton location, providing friendly, responsive desk-side and remote support.
  • Receive, prioritize, document, and resolve end-user requests in our ticketing system, escalating appropriately to maintain service-level expectations.
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and repair PCs, laptops, printers, peripherals, and mobile devices.
  • Image, deploy, and retire workstations; handle moves, adds, and changes (MACs).
  • Provide clear, jargon-free guidance and informal training to users one-on-one or in small groups.
  • Provide remote support to users at other locations across the organization as needed.
  • Site & Systems Support
  • Maintain accurate inventory and documentation of hardware, software, and site equipment.
  • Perform basic network tasks at the site (e.g., patching, port provisioning, first-line connectivity troubleshooting) under the guidance of the network team.
  • Support local production-floor and office technology, coordinating with the broader IT team and third-party vendors as required.
  • Ensure endpoint protection and updates are current on supported devices.
  • Growth & Development
  • Build hands-on proficiency over time across core platforms, including Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Ninja One, and Intune.
  • Take on increasing responsibility for site systems, such as the WeConnect phone system, as your skills develop.
  • Assist with the administration of additional platforms and tools as opportunities arise.
  • Help integrate newly acquired locations - onboarding their users, systems, and equipment - as the company grows through acquisition.
  • Pursuing relevant training and certifications with company support.
  • Security & Process
  • Help protect Company data from loss, theft, damage, or inappropriate disclosure.
  • Follow change-control procedures and notify affected personnel of changes that may impact them.
  • Maintain clear documentation and share it for others.
  • Surface recurring issues and recommend improvements to workflows and processes.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

Do you have experience in User training (technical support)?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, * Minimum of 3 years' experience working with IT Support in systems, helpdesk, security, or JDE

  • Strong general technology aptitude and demonstrated ability to learn quickly and independently.
  • Solid working knowledge of Windows PCs and common business applications (e.g., Microsoft 365).
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field, relevant certifications, or equivalent practical/work experience - we evaluate the whole person, not just the diploma.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • AI fluency - when you hit an unfamiliar problem, your instinct is to reach for AI tools to research, troubleshoot, and work through it rather than stall. We use these tools heavily and value people who think the same way.
  • Exposure to a ticketing/service-desk platform.
  • CompTIA A+ / Network+ or similar, or progress toward them.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft 365 administration, or basic networking concepts.
  • Curiosity about scripting/automation (e.g., PowerShell) a plus, not an expectation.
