As a database administrator, you know how to manage and secure database technology. At Booz Allen, you can use those skills to improve the database technology supporting our Army client.
On our team, you'll provide your client with peace of mind as you implement policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of the database. You'll use technology and tools to identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical database.
In this role, you'll closely impact warfighters with your technical expertise and mentoring. With opportunities to learn new tools and skills, we'll focus on growing as a team to make the best solutions for our customers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with SQL-based database development, building, maintaining, and administering database systems using SQL Server 2012 to 2019, writing scripts and stored procedures, and building complex views
- Experience assisting with software releases and working collaboratively with business analysts and application developers
- Experience designing and implementing end-to-end data solutions leveraging Azure or AWS services
- Experience documenting technical designs, procedures, and guidelines for data engineering processes
- Knowledge of conducting performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries and data processing workflows
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree

- Experience supporting data visualization through Power BI
- Ability to collaborate with data scientists and analysts to deploy machine learning models and enable advanced analytics
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer Associate or Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert Certification
- AWS Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Developer Certifications
- Security+ or CISSP Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
