Job description
- Identifying and implementing process improvements over financial reporting tools and templates in coordination with team leads and using technology to improve financial reporting
- Supporting transformative initiatives by collaborating with team members to partner with senior stakeholders to modernize financial processes through innovative solutions
- Assessing existing business processes and procedures to identify pain points and areas for improvement. This includes coordination with process stakeholders to complete current-state assessments, review of relevant documentation to gain a thorough understanding, and evaluation and recommendation of future-state solutions
- Assisting in creation of project plans to support the execution of end-to-end development efforts and ensuring that realistic timelines are set, communicated, and followed through barring any significant holdups
- Communicating project task updates to senior-level executive clients on a regular basis and confirming shared understanding
- Collaborating with senior team members to embed financial management standards into the design and development of solutions, ensuring alignment with federal financial policies, audit readiness, and operational integrity
- Coordinating with other direct team members and/or building necessary skills to develop financial automation, data analytics, data visualization, and/or artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities for financial management use cases. This may include: building financial metrics and supporting dashboards utilizing data visualization software (i.e., Tableau, Power BI, etc.); building low-code applications and user interfaces (using PowerApps, Power Platforms, Appian, ServiceNow, etc); building AI models to process and analyze high volumes of structured and unstructured financial data (using Databricks, Snowflake, Palantir, Python, etc).
Requirements
Do you have experience in Schedule management?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust, Secret, or higher level of federal/government security clearance.
- US Citizenship is required for security clearance
- Completing a Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, information systems, engineering, business analytics or a related field between fall 2025 and summer 2026 from an accredited college or university
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Interest in growing a career in Government/Federal/Defense and National Security consulting
- Ability to synthesize information quickly and learn new skills, view problems, apply a variety of analytical solutions, and participate in client-facing discussions and meetings
- Ability to work in teams to produce high-impact work products, reports, and other deliverables in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to utilize project management best practices within an organization to produce high quality deliverables in a timely manner
What Would Be Nice To Have:
- An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance; or higher-level clearance
- Master's degree preferably in Business Analytics
- Certifications in Agile, Scrum, or project management (e.g., PMP, CSM, SAFe) and/or strong understanding of these concepts, or interest in obtaining these certifications
- Experience analyzing data with Python, R, or SQL
- Ability to develop insightful visualizations using Tableau, PowerBI or Qlick
- Experience with change management or organizational design, especially in financial environments
- Desire and ability to quickly develop overall technical skillset related to analytics and automation to apply and tailor to the specific needs of clients and the mission of their organizations
