Join our team at Renton Technical College! The Institutional Research & Effectiveness office is looking for an experienced data analyst to provide temporary support on a variety of reporting and analytics projects during the summer., * Responding to ad hoc data requests from college departments.
- Writing and modifying SQL queries to extract data from institutional systems.
- Cleaning, validating, and organizing data for analysis.
- Creating Excel-based reports and data files.
- Building or updating Tableau dashboards and visualizations.
- Assisting with institutional, grant, and other reporting projects.
- Documenting queries and reporting processes as needed.
- Perform other related projects and assignments as assigned.
Requirements
Do you have experience in SQL?, This is a flexible, remote, hourly opportunity for someone who already has experience working with higher education data and is interested in picking up additional hours. This is a part-time, temporary assignment of approximately 10-15 hours per week between July 2026 through September 2026. Scheduled hours will be based on project needs and availability. The pay range for this role is $35.52 - $44.57 hourly. Placement is based on applicable work experience. Please note that applicants must be residents of the state of Washington for consideration. The priority consideration date for applications is June 19, 2026. This will remain open until filled. - One year of relevant work experience with research or data.
- Strong SQL and Excel skills
- Experience with Tableau or similar dashboarding tools
- Familiarity with ctcLink/PeopleSoft data structures and reporting environments
- Experience in institutional research, enrollment reporting, student success analytics, or related work
- Experience performing data analytics work in the Washington CTC system preferred.
- Ability to independently manage partnerships, communication, scheduling, and follow-through across multiple stakeholders and locations.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Demonstrated attention to detail required as well as previous experience maintaining accurate records, managing multiple tasks, and planning and organizing work in order to meet changing priorities and deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to promote universal design and accessibility. Proficiency in (or ability to learn within 6 month of hire) the production of accessible content, whether print or electronic.
- Ability to represent the college in a positive and professional manner, while using tact, discretion and courtesy.
- Ability to speak a regionally top spoken language other than English is preferred (Spanish, Vietnamese, Russian, Somali, and Chinese)
