Job description

  • Develop embedded real-time control software for our advanced laser terminal systems, implementing pointing algorithms and communication protocols
  • Develop software on the software side of Xilinx Zynq MPSoC , in both bare-metal and PetaLinux/Yocto environments. Access to varied interfaces such as I2C, SPI, CAN, UART, Ethernet
  • Implement support systems on ARM cores for navigation systems, drone communication protocols, and user interfaces. Besides C/C++ code this will also require MySQL, Qt and Java
  • Participate in field and flight testing to validate system performance in challenging environments
  • Be part of a software team collaborating closely with hardware, optics, and systems teams to integrate, debug, and optimize the full system stack

Requirements

Do you have experience in MySQL?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * MS degree in Electronics, Software Engineering, or a closely related field with at least 5 years of relevant professional experience

  • Experience in developing embedded software under real-time conditions for high-precision pointing systems (such gimballed systems, drones, navigation systems) is an asset
  • Hands-on experience with FPGA-SoC platforms (preferably Xilinx Zynq)
  • Familiarity with both low-level (bare-metal) and Linux-based development workflows
  • A collaborative mindset and readiness to contribute to a fast-paced, cross-disciplinary team
  • Bonus: experience with airborne/aerospace/navigation systems

Cucuyo develops and manufactures laser communication systems for unmanned aircraft vehicles (UAVs and ground stations). We are a start-up located in Krailling near Munich. You will be part of a team of technical experts to build an exciting future for the company.
