MONEI is revolutionizing omnichannel payments for top brands across Southern Europe. Our award-winning serverless architecture even earned recognition as the AWS Startup Architecture of the Year (Iberia region). With rapid global expansion underway, we're building the future of payment processing-and we want you on our team. The Role
This is a hybrid role: you'll do both Technical Merchant Support and Developer Advocacy. One day you'll be debugging a failed payment for a merchant; the next, you'll be writing the doc that prevents that same ticket from ever happening again. We're not looking for someone who picks a side-we're looking for someone who thrives at the intersection.
You'll be the bridge between our engineering team and the people who use MONEI: merchants, developers, partners, and internal teams. You'll investigate real issues, ship small fixes, keep our docs sharp, write tutorials, and engage with the developer community-all in the same role.
You'll work directly with one of our senior engineers, who'll invest in your growth from day one.
We're open to multiple formats:
- Full-time for experienced candidates with a mix of technical support and developer-facing experience.
- Part-time or paid internship (targeted at UPC and similar tech students, ~20h/week, hybrid from our Barcelona office) with a clear path to a full-time role after a successful trial.
What You'll Do
- Investigate Support Tickets: Debug payment failures, integration issues, and account questions from merchants, partners, and internal teams.
- Reproduce & Escalate Bugs: Build minimal repro cases, file clear bug reports, and act as the bridge between merchants/developers using MONEI and our engineering team.
- Ship Small Code Fixes: Own low-risk fixes end-to-end-open PRs, get them reviewed, ship to production.
- Own Developer & Merchant Documentation: Keep our public and internal docs accurate, clear, and AI-friendly based on what you learn from real tickets.
- Write Guides & Tutorials: Publish content that helps developers and merchants integrate MONEI faster.
- Improve APIs, Plugins & Integrations: Surface real customer feedback to engineering to refine API and plugin design.
- Improve Internal Tooling & Runbooks: Spot recurring issues, write/update runbooks, and propose automation to scale support.
- Engage the Developer Community: Help maintain our Twitter/X presence and developer-facing channels.
- Ship Fast with AI: Leverage Cursor, Claude Code, and Codex to move quickly without sacrificing quality.
