Senior DevOps Engineer (f/m/d) role at Awin Global
The DevOps Engineer will bridge development and operations, enabling efficient and seamless software delivery. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and automation tools, and you will help transform our software delivery processes using cutting-edge technologies. Responsibilities
- Lead DevOps strategy and implementation: define and execute the DevOps strategy with the team, select and integrate tools, and promote best practices for CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and deployment orchestration.
- Architect and maintain CI/CD pipelines: design, build, and enhance pipelines to automate software delivery, including code compilation, testing, packaging, and deployment; implement continuous integration, delivery, and deployment strategies.
- Infrastructure design and management: architect, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud); implement infrastructure as code and configuration management for consistent environments.
- Automation and tooling: identify opportunities for automation and implement solutions to streamline development and deployment; evaluate and integrate tools to improve efficiency, monitoring, and security.
- Performance optimization and scalability: analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and work with developers to optimize application performance and ensure high availability.
- Security and compliance: implement security best practices, ensure compliance with standards, collaborate with security teams to address vulnerabilities.
- Mentoring and leadership: provide guidance to less experienced DevOps team members, share knowledge, and promote continuous improvement.
- Collaboration and communication: work with cross-functional teams and coordinate deployment activities, timelines, and dependencies with stakeholders.
- Research and innovation: stay current with DevOps and cloud trends; evaluate and recommend innovative solutions to improve efficiency and reliability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Significant experience in a DevOps role required.
- Strong expertise in CI/CD pipelines needed.
- Deep understanding of containerization and orchestration is essential.

- Strong expertise in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CircleCI)
- Extensive experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform)
- Proficiency in scripting/programming languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Deep understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS)
- Experience with at least one major cloud platform and services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Experience with monitoring and log management tools (Prometheus, ELK Stack, Datadog, OpenTelemetry)
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Excellent leadership and communication skills; ability to mentor and collaborate with teammates
- Solid understanding of security best practices and implementing security controls
- Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing innovative solutions
