As a SAP Basis Consultant, you will provide technical support and governance of our worldwide SAP landscapes, maintaining and improving the stability, security and performance of all SAP systems environments. Responsibilities

  • Serve as SAP systems installation and configuration governance to our hosting provider.
  • Ensure backup and security of SAP applications; apply security requirements into rules and regulations.
  • Participate in penetration tests.
  • Lead project implementations as project lead.
  • Work in an international environment within the global IT department.
  • Manage vendor relations and system implementation.

Requirements

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a SAP Basis Consultant located in Sant Cugat del Vallès, Spain. The role involves providing technical support for SAP landscapes, ensuring security and performance of SAP systems, and participating in project implementations within a global IT environment. Qualifications include a Bachelor's or master's in IT, 3+ years as SAP Basis consultant, strong problem-solving skills, and experience with SAP on cloud platforms.   • Experience with SAP on hyperscalers (SAP Cloud, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) including migration and administration.

  • Proven ability to work creatively in a business and technical environment., SAP Basis Problem solving Analytical skills GxP compliance Performance monitoring Communication skills, Bachelor's or master's degree in IT or related studies, * Bachelor's or master's degree in IT or related studies.

  • At least 3 years experience as SAP Basis.

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Good knowledge in GxP compliance and documentation practices.

  • Experience with SAP on hyperscalers (SAP Cloud, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) including migration and administration.

  • Knowledge of SAP architecture: network segmentation, application servers, database administration (Sybase, HANA, Oracle), high availability, disaster recovery, RPO, RTO.

  • Proven ability to work creatively in a business and technical environment to contribute global IT strategies and realization plans.

  • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.

  • Experience in performance monitoring (Focused Run) and tuning.
