IPHES-CERCA, a research institute in Prehistoric Archaeology, is offering a 4-year predoctoral contract for a PhD research position in Data Management in Prehistoric Archaeology. The project aims to define an open archaeological data life-cycle, including development of data acquisition (Arch-e System 3.0), implementation of FAIR data for long-term preservation and re-use, and adaptation of storage and analysis tools for openness and re-use. Responsibilities

The candidate will conduct original research and:

  • Analyse data management systems and their application to field-based archeo-stratigraphic study cases.
  • Participate in IPHES-CERCA fieldwork.
  • Implement simulations and develop software for Open Science practices.

Requirements
