In this role, you will play a crucial part in our Sportsbook domain, working on impactful problems and driving change with momentum. You will collaborate closely with our Staff Engineers, participate in tech meetings, validate architectural decisions, and ensure seamless communication flow. You will work collaboratively with various teams, contributing to planning, tech solutions discussions, and feature development. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive solutions and actively shape our backend architecture. Responsibilities

• Taking ownership, problem-solving and collaborating with other teams.
• Designing and implementing from idea to production.
• Building for scale, availability, performance and security across the stack.
• Working with product managers, architects, QA engineers and other developers in a highly collaborative agile environment.
• Integrating new products and building internal services to support our ecosystem.
• Conducting code reviews and mentoring team members.
• Ensuring services are production-ready, observable, and maintainable through monitoring, alerting, and on-call participation.

• 6+ years of software development experience with Java, Spring Boot, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience designing microservices with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases and implementing resilience patterns., Essential Skills
• 6+ Years of software development experience with Java, Spring Boot and Event-Driven Architectures.
• Experience designing Microservices, K8s and Containerization (Docker) and Kafka messaging systems.
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases and caching.
• Implementing resilience patterns (e.g., retries, circuit breakers, graceful degradation).
• Designing and maintaining monitoring dashboards (e.g., metrics, logs, traces) and alerts to proactively detect issues.
• Hands-on experience developing highly scalable RESTful end-to-end Microservices.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Reactive Programming (e.g. RxJava) and Vert.x would be a big plus.
• Experience in platforms like AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
