• Design and optimize relational and non-relational database schemas.

Main Responsibilities:

• Database Architecture

• Design and optimize relational and non-relational database schemas for new and existing applications.
• Implement data storage solutions that maximize performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with developers to optimize storage, performance and data structures.
• Oversee database security, backup, recovery, and maintenance strategies.

• Data Architecture

• Develop and maintain the organization's enterprise data model and data flow architecture.
• Aware of data quality, governance, and compliance across all systems.

• Collaboration & Strategy

• Work closely with developers, AI/ML engineers, data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to align data infrastructure with business needs.
• Evaluate and recommend future database technologies, cloud solutions, and analytics platforms.
• Establish best practices for data management, storage, and access across the organization.

A technology firm in Spain is seeking a Data Architect to design and maintain their enterprise data ecosystem. This role involves optimizing database schemas, ensuring data security, and collaborating with various teams. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, 5+ years of experience in database design, strong skills in SQL and NoSQL, and fluency in English. • Familiarity with cluster/virtualization technologies such as Docker containers and/or Kubernetes is a plus.

• Ability to design end-to-end data solutions, from database schema to enterprise-wide data flow.

• Experience in optimizing query performance and storage.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to details.

• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate ideas clearly.

• Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies.

• Strong communication skills (ability to work with non-technical people and translate complicated technical challenges).
