Job description

  • Design and optimize relational and non-relational database schemas.
  • Develop and maintain the organization's enterprise data model.
  • Work closely with developers and stakeholders to align data infrastructure., As a Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the enterprise data ecosystem. This role bridges the gap between database engineering and enterprise data strategy, ensuring that our data is structured, secure, accessible, and optimized for analytics, reporting, and operational needs. Main Responsibilities:

  • Database Architecture
  • Design and optimize relational and non-relational database schemas for new and existing applications.
  • Implement data storage solutions that maximize performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with developers to optimize storage, performance and data structures.
  • Oversee database security, backup, recovery, and maintenance strategies.
  • Data Architecture
  • Develop and maintain the organization's enterprise data model and data flow architecture.
  • Aware of data quality, governance, and compliance across all systems.
  • Collaboration & Strategy
  • Work closely with developers, AI/ML engineers, data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to align data infrastructure with business needs.
  • Evaluate and recommend future database technologies, cloud solutions, and analytics platforms.
  • Establish best practices for data management, storage, and access across the organization.

Requirements

A technology firm in Spain is seeking a Data Architect to design and maintain their enterprise data ecosystem. This role involves optimizing database schemas, ensuring data security, and collaborating with various teams. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, 5+ years of experience in database design, strong skills in SQL and NoSQL, and fluency in English.   • Strong expertise in SQL, NoSQL, and relational database management systems.

  • Fluency in English required., Database design SQL NoSQL Data governance Problem-solving Communication skills Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in database design, administration, or data architecture.

  • Strong expertise in SQL, NoSQL, and relational database management systems

  • Knowledge ofdata governance, quality, and compliance frameworks.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Fluency in English required (English is company language).

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • Familiarity with cluster/virtualization technologies such as Docker containers and/or Kubernetes is a plus.

  • Ability to design end-to-end data solutions, from database schema to enterprise-wide data flow.

  • Experience in optimizing query performance and storage.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to details.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate ideas clearly.

  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies.

  • Strong communication skills (ability to work with non-technical people and translate complicated technical challenges).
