Senior Systems Engineer - Special Projects

Ampthill | 4-Day Week | Special Projects | SC Clearance Eligible, We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join a specialist engineering team delivering cutting-edge projects within a highly secure environment. This is an opportunity to influence the full engineering lifecycle, contribute to advanced technology programmes, and work alongside some of the industry's leading technical experts.

What you will be doing

• Leading and supporting systems engineering activities across complex programmes
• Requirements development and management
• Verification and validation planning
• Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• Trade studies and technical investigations
• Systems architecture development and decomposition
• Research and development activities
• Working closely with engineering teams, programme leadership and key stakeholders

Do you have experience in UML?, * Degree qualified in Systems Engineering, Aerospace, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline

• Experience across the engineering development lifecycle
• Strong understanding of Systems Engineering principles and methodologies
• Experience applying MBSE techniques
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to lead technical work packages across multiple projects

Desirable experience

• SysML/UML modelling tools such as Cameo or Rhapsody
• DOORS NG, IBM Jazz or similar requirements management tools
• Architecture frameworks including UAF or NAF
• MATLAB & Simulink
• AI/ML applications within engineering environments
• Agile software development environments
• Modelling & Simulation, CFD, trajectory modelling or complex algorithm development, This roles SC clearance to start, but may require Developed Vetting in the future. You will need to be a sole UK national and either hold DV clearance already or be willing to go through the process. Support is provided.

Due to the nature of the work, this role is primarily site-based in Ampthill and candidates must be eligible to obtain SC Security Clearance, with DV clearance viewed favourably.
