Job description

As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will bring proven experience from working within a global organisation, along with strong expertise in SQL development, relational database management, and data warehousing methodologies, * Building and maintaining data pipelines, ingestion processes, and integration of source systems into the data platform.

  • Creating and maintaining the Data Platform analytics technical components. This includes relational data modelling, star schemas, semantic models, governed datasets, reporting views and ETL batch feeds.
  • Producing and automating delivery of key metrics and KPIs to the business, through the development of reusable, scalable data models and datasets.
  • Support the definition and management of the Data Platform roadmap ensuring technical future proofing, capacity and optimisation of the platform as a product.
  • Working with the Service Management team to resolve any production issues that require specialist support during normal business hours.
  • Monitoring usage of the Data Platform and working with users to deprecate reports and data sets that are not needed; enabling a product mindset and model for data assets.
  • Actively working with users to understand data issues, tracing back data lineage and helping the business put appropriate data cleansing and quality processes in place.
  • Managing secure access to data products for the business.
  • Maintaining all Data Platform technical documentation including data lineage, reporting definitions, KPI definitions, report schedules, reporting procedures and dependencies.

Requirements

You'll bring a strong mix of technical expertise and commercial awareness, with a passion for transforming data into meaningful insights. As a collaborative and detail-oriented professional, you'll thrive in a global environment, using your SQL, data modelling, and data warehousing expertise to support informed decision-making across the business Additional experience required:

  • University Degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Proven Business intelligence and modern data platform experience gained in previous roles.
  • Extensive experience developing using SQL, relational databases and data warehousing technologies. Experience with Azure Data Technologies, including the Microsoft Fabric Platform is preferred.
  • Experiencing using cloud technologies and tooling for Azure, Salesforce and Google.
  • Strong coding skills and ability to write and de-bug ad hoc queries using various tools. Python and understanding of Machine Learning is a nice to have.
  • Working knowledge of REST APIs.
  • Desirable to have working knowledge of Salesforce data structures.
  • Good understanding of Office 365 including MS Word, Excel, SharePoint and Outlook
