Job description

The Systems Engineer will support the Mechanical Ground Support Equipment team in the development and refresh of mechanical support equipment for the FBM program. In this dynamic role you will:

  • Conduct systems engineering tasking associated with the development of mechanical ground support equipment requirements, design and testing.
  • Provide technical expertise supporting a team of systems engineers, including project leadership and planning
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including design engineering, manufacturing, facilities, and program management, to ensure successful project execution
  • Identifying and mitigating risks, and implementing process improvements and standardization to drive efficiency and affordability

Requirements

  • Experienced in developing Systems Engineering requirements documentation within Jira, or Cameo or DOORs.

  • Experienced working with test teams for requirements development and verifications.

  • Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Windchill and/or EPDM product data management toolset

  • Direct experience in applying systems engineering practices to mechanical ground support equipment and facilities/Class 3 equipment

  • Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and practices (Cameo preferred)

  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at both programmatic and technical levels with subordinates, peers, senior management, program office, and customers

  • Demonstrated ability to lead change and implement process improvements that drive efficiency and affordability Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Top Secret, Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
