Job description
The purpose of the IT Lead Specialist is to harness emerging technologies in the
long-term care industry so that the organization is able to improve care,
monitoring and service to residents, families and partners. The IT Lead Specialist
will be designated to address the day to day needs that arise from the increase in
users, software and hardware throughout the organization with the hope that the
organization will continue to increase IT usage where necessary to implement
culture change and increase efficiencies within the organization. The IT Lead
Specialist will be challenged with the task of assisting in the implementation,
development and ongoing education of the IT department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
*Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and operation of all computers,
printers, copiers, wireless networks, wireless call systems, servers, software
applications, phone systems and ancillary electronic equipment.
*Negotiate and manage all contracts with IT vendors, including IT
consultants, Point Click Care, Salient Networks, Onsite Laser Medic, and
other departmental software applications.
- Develop and administer training programs for employees and resident
users including ongoing training on new modules and updates to ensure
optimization of time and usage.
- Coordinate with VP of Operations for e-waste disposal.
REQUIRED OTHER FUNCTIONS:
- Attend departmental and all-staff in-services and continuing education
programs.
*Assist all residents with their IT needs.

Observe and practice safety and infection control procedures.

Protect resident's rights and confidentiality at all times according to HIPAA.
Be able to work harmoniously with co-workers.

Be able to deal tactfully with residents, family members and visitors.

Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Do you have experience in Wireless networking?, * Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
- Complete training with modules being used at Atherton and demonstrate
proficiency in them.

Proficient in Microsoft Office & Microsoft Active Directory.

Familiarity with AWS, Cisco Meraki, A/V systems, VoIP phone systems and., * IT: 2 years (Preferred)
