The City of Renton is looking for an experienced Senior Systems Analyst to serve as the technical lead for the City's Enterprise Business applications. Technologies in this environment include ERP, HRIS, permitting software, document management systems, reporting tools, SQL Server databases, APIs, system integrations, and the Microsoft Power Platform. This position is responsible for application architecture, administration, integrations, upgrades, vendor management, database support, and delivery of technology projects. The role partners closely with Business Systems Analysts to analyze requirements, implement solutions, and drive business process improvements while ensuring system reliability, security, and performance. Successful candidates will bring substantial experience supporting and enhancing large-scale enterprise business applications in a complex organizational environment., * As subject matter expert, provide technical support and maintenance to systems as directed or escalated from other IT teams.
- Maintain, administer and service Enterprise Business applications and related software and integrations including troubleshooting, migrating, scheduling, testing and patching, configuring, monitoring, training, updating and upgrading on servers and client computers.
- Plan, implement and upgrade technologies through all phases of the software life cycle including analyzing, architecting, designing, testing, installing, configuring, training end users, creating documentation, outlining future growth plan and auditing results.
- Perform database administration; install, configure and update database systems; monitor and maintain database system performance; manage backup plans and systems security.
- Act as project manager on multiple concurrent technical projects; manage teams across functional, departmental and organizational boundaries.
- Coordinate, develop and maintain project charters, plans, schedules, budgets and deliverables; monitor and control project scope, schedule, costs and quality.
- Develop databases by analyzing, designing, coding/developing, building and deploying; create documentation and perform necessary training.
- Support diverse Business applications with varying degrees of complexity and an advanced knowledge of their frameworks.
- Analyze, design, code, test, deploy, provide training, create documentation and troubleshoot issues with custom software applications and integration systems.
- Partner with vendors and other IT staff to design and implement complex architectures that include network, servers, interfaces, databases, integrations and security.
- Gathers functional and business requirements and specifications; translates requirements and specifications to author Request for Proposals; evaluate and select vendors.
- Mentor and guide team members in analytical and project management techniques, business domains and processes, and technology languages and systems.
- Write and maintain technical system documentation and clear user materials.
- Manage the process of purchasing technology and coordinate contract negotiations.
- Design, author and maintain custom reports using various report writing tools and techniques.
- Regularly review prioritize and implement system changes requests to improve customer's efficiency and accommodate business process changes.
- Create content and conduct training classes and presentations throughout the organization on various applications and processes.
- Manage SSL certificates to ensure security and process continuity.
- Contribute to an environment of teamwork and respect.
- Foster a culture of equity and inclusion by recognizing the diverse needs and perspectives of groups and individuals.
- Remain current with relevant technological advancements as it relates to field.
- Participate in and help provide cross-training in processes as directed by management to ensure a well-rounded team for coverage purposes.

Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver's License license?, Do you have experience in SQL?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Systems or related field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in web server administration, data base, scripting programming, SQL, systems design, implementation or administration.
- Or minimum of 9 years of relevant education and experience.
- Two years project management experience.
- Valid driver's license.
- Successful passing of a required background check and national fingerprint-based records check.
- Successful passing of a required driving record check.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Drive to offsite locations to perform essential functions.
- Move throughout City facilities and buildings.
- Operate a computer and other office equipment.
- Communicate with City employees and residents.
- Lift or move items weighing up to 40 pounds occasionally.

Deferred Compensation Program
- The City contributes 3% of the employee's base wage rate into a deferred compensation retirement plan.
- Employees may also set aside a percentage of their earnings on a tax-deferred basis.
Retirement Plan
- Employees are enrolled in either the State of Washington Department of Retirement Systems Plan (PERS) or the Public Safety Employees' Retirement System (PSERS).

Long Term Disability Protection

Flexible Benefits
- The City offers employees the opportunity to open two separate tax-free accounts through salary reduction. One account is to pay for expenses not covered by health insurance and the other account is for child care costs.
Vacation
- Employees accrue vacation beginning with the first day of employment as follows: 12 days per year (0-5 years); 18 days per year (6-10 years); 21 days per year (11-15 years); 24 days per year (16-20 years); and 27 days per year (21+ years).
- Employees may access their vacation immediately.
Sick Leave
- Upon employment, the employee receives a sick leave bank of 24 hours, with an additional 24 hours awarded after three months.
- Thereafter, sick leave accrues at the rate of four hours each pay period.

Paydays
