Job description

Development of Automation Support

  • Oversee and lead the development, enhancements, and future versions of our church management system.

  • Oversee the design and implementation of automated workflows and processes that streamline ministry operations and reduce manual tasks.

  • Evaluate the implementation of third-party integrations that extend the functionality or accessibility of the church management system.

Team Training for Staff Support

  • Lead and mentor the system and web team, providing guidance, performance feedback, and growth opportunities.

  • Empower systems and web team to partner with ministry leaders to ensure church management system is leveraged for connection, communication, and discipleship.

  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of training materials and documentation that equip staff and volunteers.

Web Leadership and Strategy

  • Provide direction, leadership, and oversight for all Victory web properties (main site, secondary sites, landing pages, internal tools).

  • Oversee and carry out the vision, roadmap, and governance for the church's web platforms.

  • Lead long-range planning for website modernization, platform selection, architecture improvements, and emerging digital technologies.

User Experience Implementation

  • Implement and oversee the decided user experience across all web touchpoints.

  • Ensure all web content and components support usability, user clarity, and stakeholder outcomes.

  • Provide leadership for the evaluation, testing, and implementation of new web features, templates, and user interface patterns.

System Maintenance

  • Ensure the ongoing health, performance, and security of our websites, church management system and related systems.

  • Manage policies, procedures, and documentation related to system security, access control, and user permissions.

Requirements

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS * Bachelor's in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with a content management system.

  • Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure and system integrations.

  • Strong understanding of relational databases, user permissions, workflows, and reporting tools.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with version control systems.

  • Proven ability to translate leadership needs into digital solutions that improve engagement and efficiency.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to coach, mentor and empower others.

  • Experience managing technical staff.

  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Lava, SQL, and PHP is a plus.

COMPUTER / SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS * Proficient in Microsoft 365 and Mac Environments

  • Development on Apple and/or Windows Machines
