Job description
This position is responsible for technical work installing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting multiple distributed computer systems for use by end-users including the hardware, software, and communications components of distributed systems. Install's and implements distributed computer systems hardware, software, and communications components including enhancements and upgrades. Edits and modifies configuration files for the distributed computer system OS, applications for communicating with other computers, printers, and other peripheral equipment. Monitors the use of software and hardware through the network and provides for on-going identification and resolution of user needs. Conducts on-site system reviews to evaluate user compliance to systems standards and procedures. Operates equipment in conjunction with the CPA to test new programs. Conducts on-going support to identify methods/techniques for improving the use of existing hardware, software, and to improve written documentation. Assists the CPA ln the development and coordination of a distributed infrastructure plan (both short and long term) for the LAN. Act as backup for inventory manager. Assist with annual inventory using Radio Frequency identification Device (RFID) software and hardware. Ability to follow detailed instructions. High level of attention to details. Prepare and update required documentation. Receive and disposition property in accordance with established procedures. Record keeping. Print, encode, and apply RFID inventory tags. Conduct annual inventory. Provide custom inventory reports. Serves as Representative for Audio/visual equipment. Responsible for supporting and troubleshooting conferencing systems and components, scheduling sessions, establishing connections, and sharing computer content. Serves as liaison with vendors in solving routine problems with the communication components. Coordinates the repair or installation of telecommunication components. Image/reimage computers, cell phones and laptops with new images provided by Tallahassee OIT (Office of information Technology) Responsible for monitoring, ordering and stocking of Hardware supplies as needed.

Requirements
Do you have experience in Technical writing within technology?, Understanding of hardware, operating systems, applications, and communication components used to design and configure distributed computer environments. Knowledge of installing and implementing distributed systems hardware, software, and communications components, including upgrades and enhancements Familiarity with editing and modifying OS, application, and communication configuration files. Understanding of LAN environments, connectivity, cabling, and communication protocols. Knowledge of networking audits, system integrity, and security standards. Knowledge of data collection and analysis principles and procedures. Ability to analyze and resolve hardware, software, and communications problems using diagnostic tools. Ability to collect, evaluate, analyze and interpret scientific or technical data. Skilled in providing assistance to staff and users for system malfunctions and program issues. Ability to prepare technical reports. Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to environmental programs. Ability to understand and follow legislative policy direction as established in Florida statutes. Ability to provide clear communication across technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to work independently. Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Ability to utilize Microsoft Office.
Qualifications:
Minimum - 2 years IT Desktop and Help Desk Support Experience, Windows OS Support Experience, Microsoft Office knowledge and experience
Preferred - VOIP telephone suppport experience, IT infrastructure knowledge and experience, DOH Experience
