Job description

Grant Leading Technology is seeking a candidate for a Junior Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The candidate will work as part of a collaborative engineering team providing infrastructure automation, cloud operations, DevOps support, and cloud application deployment services. This position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and Federal cloud security requirements while working under the guidance of senior engineers and architects. This position will be on-site and the hours are 8 am to 5 pm EST. Responsibilities:

  • Support the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of cloud infrastructure hosted within FAA-approved cloud environments

  • Assist with the implementation and management of cloud resources across Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure platforms

  • Develop, maintain, and execute Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and/or Ansible

  • Participate in the automation of cloud provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment processes

  • Assist with the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to support software delivery and operational efficiency

  • Support Linux and Microsoft Windows cloud-based systems and infrastructure components

  • Monitor cloud environments and assist in troubleshooting infrastructure, deployment, and application issues

  • Collaborate with developers, engineers, security teams, and system administrators to support cloud modernization initiatives

  • Assist in evaluating new cloud technologies, tools, and best practices to improve system performance and operational efficiency

  • Participate in system testing, deployment validation, and production implementation activities.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, operational guides, and system configurations

  • Support compliance with Federal security requirements, cloud governance standards, and organizational policies

  • Participate in Agile development and DevOps processes including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives

Requirements

Do you have experience in Version control?, * Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or a related technical field *

  • Minimum two (2) years of professional experience supporting cloud infrastructure, DevOps, systems administration, software engineering, or related technical disciplines
  • Experience supporting cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Microsoft Azure
  • Experience working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, including Terraform and/or Ansible.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform and/or Ansible
  • Experience supporting Linux and/or Microsoft Windows environments
  • Understanding of cloud architecture concepts, deployment methodologies, and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of AWS and/or Microsoft Azure cloud services
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and deployment automation
  • Basic scripting experience using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages
  • Understanding of source control systems such as Git
  • Knowledge of cloud networking, identity management, and security fundamentals
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker
  • Basic understanding of Kubernetes or managed container services is desirable
  • Ability to troubleshoot system, infrastructure, and deployment issues
  • Must be able to pass a government background check
  • Must live in the United States and be authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Skills/Certifications:

  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner

  • AWS Certified Developer - Associate
