Qvest is seeking an experienced Senior Solution Architect to join our dynamic consulting team specializing in Media & Entertainment. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in media systems, content supply chains, and broadcast workflows, and a proven track record of designing scalable, modern, and efficient media technology architectures.As a key technical leader, you will engage with major broadcasters, studios, and media platforms to design innovative solutions across content creation, post-production, playout, OTT delivery, and archive. You will collaborate closely with clients, product teams, and systems integrators to modernize legacy environments and architect next- solutions in cloud and hybrid ecosystems.What you'll do
- Lead architectural design and technical strategy for complex M&E system implementations across linear broadcast, OTT, and digital platforms.
- Translate business requirements into end-to-end media workflows and technical architectures.
- Design integrations across diverse media systems including MAM, PAM, playout automation, encoding/transcoding, and cloud storage platforms.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to media clients, supporting digital transformation, cloud migration, and technology modernization initiatives.
- Evaluate and recommend tools, platforms, and technologies aligned to client use cases and industry best practices.
- Oversee and review system architecture documentation, data flow diagrams, and interface specifications.
- Guide technical delivery teams and partner vendors, ensuring successful execution of designs and alignment to architecture principles.
- Participate in pre-sales engagements, contributing to RFP responses, client pitches, and solution estimations.
Requirements

10+ years of experience in media systems architecture, solutions engineering, or consulting within the Media & Entertainment industry.

Proven expertise in broadcast workflows, including playout, signal chain, live production, and newsroom integration.

Deep knowledge of media formats (e.g., IMF, MXF, ProRes, XDCAM, HLS, MPEG-DASH, JPEG2000) and codec standards.

Experience designing file-based and live workflows across ingest, QC, metadata management, versioning, and delivery.

Strong understanding of key M&E technologies:

MAM/PAM systems: Avid, Dalet, Vizrt, Cantemo, Sony Hive, CatDV

Playout automation: Grass Valley Morpheus, Ross OverDrive, Viz Mosart, Evertz Overture

Transcoding/workflow orchestration: Telestream Vantage, AWS Elemental, Harmonic, Signiant, Aspera

Cloud platforms: AWS Media Services, Azure Media Services, GCP, Object Storage (S3, Blob)

Streaming & OTT: DRM, HLS/DASH packaging, CDNs, SSAI/DAI

Experience with hybrid cloud and cloud- architectures (especially AWS or Azure) for media pipelines.

Familiarity with media metadata schemas (e.g., EBUCore, XMP, IPTC, Dublin Core) and industry standards like SMPTE ST 2110, SMPTE 2022, SCTE 104/35, DPP.

Proficiency with workflow modeling and tools such as BPMN, Visio, Lucidchart, or UML.

Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills.

Ability to navigate complex technical conversations with both engineers and business stakeholders.

Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, consulting environment with multiple stakeholders.

Thought leadership and passion for emerging trends in media technology.

Experience working with or consulting for broadcasters, studios, or large media platforms.

Hands-on experience with production environments including Newsroom Computer Systems (NRCS), studio automation, or live control rooms.

Certification in AWS (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Professional) or relevant cloud certifications.

Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines in media workflows.

Knowledge of AI/ML applications in media (e.g., auto-tagging, QC, speech-to-text) is a plus.
