Insight Global is assisting a client in finding an QA Automation Engineer for a leading enterprise solutions-focused client. This individual will play a key role in building and scaling automated testing capabilities across both front-end and back-end systems. The position involves working closely within an Agile development environment to ensure high-quality software delivery through innovative test automation strategies. The ideal candidate is passionate about quality engineering, eager to contribute to evolving QA frameworks, and comfortable working with modern web technologies, APIs, and data-driven systems. - Participate in Agile ceremonies and development lifecycle activities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks
- Create detailed test plans and test cases for applications and APIs
- Execute manual and automated tests for web, backend, and service layers
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to define QA requirements
- Perform API testing and validate system integrations
- Conduct peer reviews of test cases, scripts, and defect logs
- Track defects and manage workflows in Jira
- Continuously improve test frameworks and automation strategies
- Stay current on testing tools, trends, and industry best practices
Requirements
4+ years of hands-on experience in software test automation and test framework development Strong experience with automation tools (Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or equivalent) Experience testing web applications, APIs, microservices, and database-driven systems Ability to write and execute SQL queries for validation/troubleshooting Experience with API testing tools (Postman, Swagger, Rest Assured) Experience with Git or equivalent version control Experience with Jira (or similar bug tracking/workflow tools) Experience creating test plans, test cases, and QA documentation
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Insurance industry experience (Medical Stop Loss, Health Benefits, Claims, Underwriting, Policy Admin)
- Python experience for automation or framework development
- Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases
- Microsoft Azure / Azure DevOps experience
- CI/CD pipeline testing integration experience
- Knowledge of performance, load, security, and accessibility testing
- Experience with AI-driven testing or generative AI in QA
- Experience with RPA tools/process automation
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud-native environments
- Relevant certifications (ISTQB, Azure Fundamentals, Azure DevOps Engineer)
