Job description

As a Senior Specialist - Software Engineering, you will serve as a core technical anchor within an agile, high-caliber AI engineering team. In this role, you will transcend traditional software development to architect and deploy sophisticated, agentic AI solutions engineered to optimize yield management, dynamic pricing strategies, C&I strategies, etc.

This highly technical, hands-on position demands a unique synthesis of rigorous, enterprise-grade software engineering discipline and advanced artificial intelligence capabilities. Leveraging an extensive background in both Java (Spring Boot) and Python (Flask), you will design resilient backend architectures and operationalize complex, data-driven AI solutions within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem.

On the frontend, you will deliver highly interactive analytics dashboards and intuitive user interfaces utilizing Plotly Dash, Dash Mantine Components, AG Grid, React, and Angular. Crucially, you will accelerate engineering velocity and lead developer productivity initiatives through the strategic integration of AI-assisted development workflows, including GitHub Copilot, Model Context Protocol (MCP) frameworks, and rapid prototyping techniques.

Drawing upon your established expertise in the automotive finance, eCommerce, and pricing domains, you will translate intricate business logic into elegant, automated, and predictive agentic workflows. If you are a driven technologist passionate about high-velocity execution, cloud-native automation, and delivering measurable financial impact, this role offers an unparalleled opportunity to shape the future of intelligent financial systems.

What you'll do...

  • Hands-on Full-Stack Development: Architect, build, and maintain high-performance, enterprise-grade applications, spending the majority of your time actively writing clean, secure, and optimized code in Java (Spring Boot, JPA, Kafka) and Python (Flask, Pandas, NumPy).
  • Interactive Data Visualization: Design and build cutting-edge data science and pricing optimization dashboards using Plotly Dash, Dash Mantine Components, AG Grid, React JS, and Angular.
  • AI-Assisted Engineering & Prototyping: Pioneer and champion the use of AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, MCP integrations, and LLM-assisted engineering) to rapidly prototype internal AI-powered tools and accelerate team-wide developer productivity.
  • Domain Integration: Apply Ford finance, pricing, and yield management domain knowledge to design systems that accurately reflect complex financial constraints and opportunities.
  • Cloud-Native Architecture (GCP): Deploy, scale, and manage containerized applications on Google Cloud Platform, utilizing GCP Cloud Run, BigQuery, Docker, and OpenShift/Kubernetes.
  • Infrastructure & CI/CD Automation: Define and implement robust infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and establish automated deployment pipelines utilizing Tekton or Jenkins.
  • Collaborative Innovation: Work closely within a tight-knit, agile team of AI engineers and business stakeholders to drive immediate business value.
  • Technical Leadership & Governance: Work closely with business SMEs, data scientists, and architects to define solution architectures, non-functional requirements (NFRs), and robust security integrations (including Azure AD authentication and RBAC).

Requirements

Do you have experience in UI?, Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a highly related engineering field

  • Experience: Minimum of 10+ years (with a strong preference for 15+ years) of professional software engineering experience, spanning full-lifecycle enterprise application delivery from architecture to production support.
  • Domain Expertise: Proven experience within the automotive pricing, dynamic pricing, or vehicle yield management domains (experience with Ford-specific pricing and sales systems is highly preferred).
  • Backend Mastery: Strong, hands-on expertise in Python (Flask, Pandas, NumPy) and Java/J2EE (Spring Boot, Spring REST, Spring JPA, Kafka, microservices).
  • Frontend & Dashboarding: Proven expertise in building enterprise analytics dashboards using Plotly Dash, Dash Mantine Components, and AG Grid, alongside experience in React JS and Angular.
  • AI-Assisted Tooling: Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted development workflows, including GitHub Copilot, MCP (Model Context Protocol) frameworks, and rapid prototyping techniques.
  • GCP & DevOps: Hands-on experience with GCP (Cloud Run, BigQuery, GCS), containerization (Docker, OpenShift/Kubernetes), infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), and CI/CD pipelines (Tekton).

Even better you'll have...

  • Experience building autonomous AI agents, multi-agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen), or vector database integrations.
  • Strong understanding of MLOps pipelines on GCP.
  • Experience with workflow orchestration tools like Apache Airflow or Astronomer.
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures and streaming data.
