We're seeking an outstanding Web Engineer to join Adobe's Firefly Boards team within the Firefly Generative AI organization. You will play a critical role in shaping the activation, onboarding, and core user experience of Firefly Boards, helping creators quickly realize value from their very first session. As part of a highly collaborative team spanning engineering, design, product, and research, you will build experiences that guide users from discovery to creation, making it effortless to bring content onto the canvas, interact with powerful creative workflows, and take meaningful next steps. Your work will directly influence user activation, engagement, and retention as Firefly Boards scales to become a flagship creative experience within Adobe's AI ecosystem. You will partner closely with product and design leaders to simplify onboarding flows, reduce friction in creative workflows, surface the platform's most valuable capabilities, and create experiences that help users unlock the full potential of multi-modal AI.

Firefly Boards is Adobe's infinite, collaborative, multi-asset creative canvas designed for ideation, exploration, and content development. Unlike traditional linear creative workflows, Boards brings together images, videos, text, AI-generated content, and creative assets in a shared workspace where ideas can evolve naturally and collaboratively. Firefly Boards enables creators and teams to organize, generate, remix, iterate, and develop concepts across multiple media types in a single environment. What You'll Impact
Drive user activation by building onboarding and first-use experiences that help creators quickly realize value.
Design and implement workflows that simplify bringing content and assets onto the canvas. Develop experiences that showcase the platform's most valuable and engaging capabilities. Build intuitive multi-asset creative workflows spanning images, videos, text, and AI-generated content. Partner closely with product and design teams to experiment, measure, and optimize user engagement. Improve performance, scalability, and reliability of a collaborative real- time creative platform. Contribute to the evolution of Adobe's next-generation AI-powered creative experiences.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science
Significant experience building production web applications, with meaningful ownership of user-facing experiences you've shipped and operated Proficient in TypeScript and JavaScript, with strong front-end skills: a modern declarative UI framework (React, Lit, Vue), CSS Track record of building and shipping experiments: A/B tests, feature flags, staged rollouts, and the instrumentation behind them. Comfortable using engagement and funnel data to drive decisions: instrumenting flows to answer the questions that matter, then acting on what comes back rather than shipping and moving on Experience building onboarding, activation, or first-use experiences, or comparable work where reducing friction and time-to-value was the goal
Partners closely with product and design to move a metric, not just deliver a spec. History of writing clean, testable code and building components that other engineers extend, Experience with creative, media, or asset-heavy applications (image, video, multimedia) Familiarity with agentic or AI-powered workflows, or building user experiences on top of LLMs Experience with growth or activation work specifically: onboarding funnels, conversion, retention Experience with real-time collaborative or multiplayer applications Experience improving performance and perceived performance of a user- facing app
Benefits & conditions
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $153,600 -- $286,600 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP). In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award. Adobe will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment in accordance with state and local laws and "fair chance"ordinances., Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. In California, the pay range for this position is $177,900 - $257,550 In New York, the pay range for this position is $177,900 - $257,550 In Washington, the pay range for this position is $161,700 - $234,150
