Job description

Insight Global is seeking a SAP, Supply Chain & Logistics Senior IT Manager hybrid in Richmond, Virginia. This individual will act as the bridge between IT and supply-focused business teams, owning the strategy, support, and enhancement of SAP and related systems across manufacturing, logistics, and distribution. This role will lead system improvements, oversee vendor partnerships, and ensure applications operate effectively within a regulated environment. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on SAP expertise, leadership experience, and the ability to drive process improvements that increase efficiency and scalability across supply operations. The pay for this role ranges from $82/hour-$84/hour, based on experience.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of hands-on SAP experience within supply chain environments (MM, SD, PP, WMS)
  • Strong understanding of how SAP integrates with finance, reporting, and other enterprise systems
  • 7+ years supporting supply chain, manufacturing, or logistics applications in regulated industries
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams, vendors, or global resources
  • Experience managing full lifecycle SAP initiatives (requirements, configuration, testing, go-live, support)
  • Proven ability to identify inefficiencies and implement system/process improvements
  • Experience partnering directly with business stakeholders to translate needs into technical solutions
  • Background supporting production systems, incident management, and SLAs
  • Familiarity with IT controls, audits, and compliance (including SOX environments) *Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, etc.)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

  • Experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, or other highly regulated industries
  • Exposure to advanced SAP planning tools (IBP, APO, demand/supply planning)
  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), quality platforms, or serialization tools
  • Familiarity with tools like ServiceNow, Power BI, or similar reporting/workflow platforms
  • Experience working in global SAP environments with standardized templates
  • Background in supply chain transformation or process optimization initiatives *Experience integrating SAP with external partners or third-party systems
