Job description
As a Computer Vision Scientist within the Intelligent Imaging research group, you will contribute to a variety of projects, often carried out in a team setting. You will conduct research collaboratively and develop new knowledge and technologies. In addition, you will work on projects where our expertise is directly applied for clients in business, industry, and government.

Do you have experience in Research?, Do you have a Master's degree?, You are able to communicate clearly with colleagues and clients, are customer-oriented, and have the drive to work collaboratively toward results that are practical and applicable for our clients. You enjoy coaching and mentoring colleagues, helping them grow both personally and professionally. You fluently speak both the Dutch as well as the English language.
- You have a completed academic degree (MSc or PhD) in Biomedical Engineering, Technical Medicine, Medical Imaging, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or Artificial Intelligence, along with at least ten years of experience in research within the field of computer vision.
- You are an especially strong fit for us if you have experience optimizing algorithms for real-time processing, knowledge of architectures and data pipelines, experience with embedded systems (edge computing), and/or experience with (electro-optical) camera systems.
- You have demonstrable experience in algorithm development and deep learning.
- In addition, you have experience with Python, MATLAB, and/or C++, or you are able to quickly master new programming languages.
- You have a pragmatic mindset and are motivated to further develop yourself as a researcher.
- Domain knowledge of the defense and robotics sector, along with a broad network and experience working with relevant stakeholders such as the police, defense organizations, DJI, or the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee (KMAR), is considered a strong plus.
